Sebastian Winny

Sebastian graduated from University of Toronto law school in 1995 and was called to the bar in 1997. He practised insurance defence litigation in Toronto until 2002 when he joined a general litigation firm in Mississauga, before settling in Waterloo in 2004. He carries on a general civil litigation practice and has experience in a variety of cases at all levels of trial and appeal courts. He was appointed a deputy judge of the Small Claims Court in 2007 and graduated with a Master of Laws in Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2008. Sebastian is a member of the Advocates' Soceity and his publications included "Stare decisis in Ontario Law" (2008) 35 Adv.Q. 68. As a newly elected trustee in April 2009 Sebastian is co-chairing the Continuing Education Committee, along with Jim Marentette and is also a member of the Bench and Bar Committee.
